• Photos: Menu photos you submit for analysis and profile photos you choose to upload.
• Newsletter information: Email address and name if you choose to receive updates or marketing emails.

Information Collected Automatically or With Permission

• Location data: Precise or approximate location when you enable location-based features such as Nearby Restaurants or location-aware Mac responses.
• Usage data: App and website interactions, screens viewed, feature usage, store-click events, subscription state, and conversion events.
• Device and diagnostics data: Device type, operating system, app version, browser information, crash reports, performance data, and device or advertising identifiers where available.
• Subscription and purchase status: Product, entitlement, trial, offer, renewal, and subscription state from app-store and subscription systems.

How We Use Your Information

• Personalize restaurant recommendations, menu hacks, and Mac responses
• Show nearby restaurants and location-aware guidance when you enable location features

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information to service providers and platforms that help us operate, analyze, improve, protect, and market MacroMate. These providers may support:

• AI and menu analysis: Processing menu photos, chat messages, goals, preferences, and location context when needed to provide app features.

• Analytics and product improvement: Usage, diagnostics, session replay or heatmap, performance, reliability, and app/website improvement analysis. Sensitive app screens are masked where supported.
• Advertising measurement: Advertising attribution and campaign measurement, which may include app events, conversion events, and device or advertising identifiers.
• Email and lifecycle communication: Newsletters, product updates, marketing emails, and user communications.

Menu Photos, Chat, and AI Features

When you use menu scan or Mac chat features, the photos, messages, goals, preferences, location context, and nearby restaurant context you provide may be sent to our backend and AI service providers so MacroMate can generate results. We may store generated scan results, saved scans, chat history, and related metadata with your account so the app can show your history and keep the feature working reliably. Do not submit photos, messages, or documents that include sensitive information unrelated to restaurant macro guidance.

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes:

• Encryption of data in transit and at rest
• Regular security audits and updates
• Limited access to personal information on a need-to-know basis
• Secure cloud infrastructure with industry-standard protections

When you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we need to retain limited information for legal, security, fraud prevention, payment, accounting, or backup purposes.

MacroMate is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
